Was it worth waiting for the Singapore release of the Jet Black DS Lite? Y-E-S. SGD279 with 1 game bundled (from a limited selection) at Playboxx, the go-to place for no-nonsense pricing. It's time to get cooking!
Batman in Lego was too sweet to pass up, so as sure as chicks dig the car, I got the Batmobile: Two Face's Escape set. Shot a time-lapse video of me building the set:
The designer's love for batman is evident in the details: a fabric(!) cape packed separately in a cardboard sleeve to prevent it from being crushed by the bricks, and a launchable rocket out of the car's nose that will send two-face flying if it hits the back of his getaway truck. A very nice, if expensive set at around $74. I got mine with a reservation from Simply Toys at Suntec.
The Batman Lego series was unavailable locally due to some licensing issues, but I saw them in stock today, and also the very hot Jabba's Sail Barge at Brickworld at Marina Square, The Sales Assistant said that the licensing have apparently been sorted out and they've managed to get a limited batch from Lego Singapore. Get them while they're still available! Also listen to a interesting chat between a Lego PR Rep and the guys at Fanboy Radio about the Lego community.
Edit 10 Sep 06: Redid the video with titles, soundtrack and credits using Windows Movie Maker.
a part of Tamp-in-es Junior College...and that's the first and only line of the school song I remember. Glad to see that the tampines-ians have still got their priorities right.
Thank you Alec and Jane for helping me move the last of my stuff, as well as being the beneficiaries of some of my treasures :) It's good to be back, with the exception of a condo that sprung up literally across the street. Yeesh, it's close enough for me to be able to watch TV on their screens. So no more nose-picking and walking around half-naked for me. But that goes for them too.
or "How to ensure the pic/video/music you took from another site is not copyrighted". My cousin shared over dinner the story of how he threatened to sue another local food blogger who posted a stolen pic from his site. The errant blogger would probably have gotten away had he remembered to p-shop my cousin's friend from the pic. Doh!
Lifehacker's got a good post on how to find public-domain multimedia to jazz up your next assignment/presentation, without fear of legal reprisal.
Ivan, I'm surprised that the pics turned out so well, so I use one ok? Don't sue me can? btw, do you know how prawns laugh?
